Tigers win first Test against WI

The Tigers have won their first Test match against visiting West Indies by 64 runs within two-and-a-half days. This is quite an achievement by the Bangladesh cricket team.

In the first innings of Bangladesh, Mominul played very well and scored 120 runs. But the batsmen failed to capitalise on their first innings lead of 86 runs and were bundled out after scoring only 125 runs in the second innings. They played 35.5 overs in the second innings.

However, the bowlers took the charge and helped Bangladesh win the match. Nayeem took five wickets in the first innings of the Windies. In their second innings, Taijul became the mystery that the West Indian batsmen could not solve. Eventually, Taijul took six wickets helping Bangladesh win the first test match of the series.

The Bangladesh team cannot become complacent after this victory. Batting is still a concern for Bangladesh. I hope Bangladesh will take a lesson from the first test and win the second test match that is scheduled to start on November 30, 2018. Best of luck, Tigers!
