Tobacco takes away every year thousands of lives all around the world. Unfortunately, the number of smokers is not decreasing as expected. Once a person is taken to tobacco, it is difficult for him or her to quit the habit.
I feel really sad when I see the low-income people are squandering their hard-earned money on this bad habit, or addiction. Instead of buying some foods for themselves or their family, they spend money on cigarettes.  Smoking initially leads to dental problems, cause bad breath, and tobacco products contain harmful chemicals, that result in fatal consequences. Smoking affects nearly every organ of our body and it diminishes a person's overall well-being.
Second-hand smoking is equally dangerous and harmful. The smokers should not smoke in front of their family members, especially children and pregnant women, and non-smokers in general. Smoking has been proved to be addictive as it has nicotine. During smoking, nicotine enters our lungs and is absorbed in our bloodstream. Then it reaches our brain.
We need to create awareness in society, so that the common people stay away from a bad habit like smoking, which causes nothing but a mindless waste of money and invites many health hazards.
