BAGHDAD, Aug 2 (AFP): Two US soldiers were killed and another 10 wounded after coming under fire in Iraq, the US military said Thursday.
The military described the attack Tuesday as "indirect fire" but did not specify where it happened.
The latest deaths bring US losses in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion to 3,655, with 85 soldiers killed last month, according to an AFP count based on Pentagon figures.
US casualties have declined since June, when at least 93 US soldiers were killed, and May, in which 121 were killed, which made it the most deadly month for US troops since the storming of Fallujah in November 2004.
