Unprecedented power outage

When the national electricity grid collapsed on Saturday, the whole country went under total darkness. Initially, I thought it was regular load- shedding but as the winter was setting in, it was a bit surprising.

But when power didn't return within its stipulated one-hour time, I came to know about the national grid failure.  The common people were very worried as no one knew when electricity would be back. After evening, everyone was talking about one thing and it was when the power was going to be back.

Soon my battery charger died. So was my IPS and total darkness engulfed us. There was no water at home as without electricity the water motor was lying idle. This outage lasted about 13 hours in my locality and during midnight, the power was finally restored.  It was the biggest power outage in the recent history of our country. At least, I don't remember anything like that in my memory.

I hope, the government will be able to detect the exact reason of such a massive power outage and will make sure that in the future, we don't see it being repeated.
