Uprooting menace of exam cheating
September 08, 2014 00:00:00
I am glad to learn that the education ministry is working hard to stop question-paper leak as it discourages students from working hard and being enlightened. Cheating in examinations has become quite rampant in the country. It has long been hampering the progress and quality of education.
Everybody feels confident that if we all try seriously to eliminate cheating, in the form of copying, from our examinations, we will definitely become successful. We have to make sure that the students are attentive to their studies throughout the year, so that they don't have to think about copying. If we make copying in the exams difficult, it will encourage students to work hard and get good results. The education ministry has decided that it will print 32 sets of question-papers and the step will surely make the wrongdoers frustrated.
I believe setting of 32 sets of question-papers is a laudable move. We have to be creative in uprooting the copying menace from our education system. Only then will we be able to encourage pupils to study and learn. We also expect the guardians to keep a keen watch over their offspring, so that they remain in the right way and do not get deviated.
