US departure from UNHRC

The United States withdrew its membership from the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), after cancelling its membership from UNESCO last year. Since becoming the President of the USA, Donald Trump has taken many controversial decisions. But this was most likely one of his most controversial ones. The Trump administration quit the council due to the body's "fixation" with Israel continuing its human rights violations in Palestine.

Israeli troops have killed many innocent Palestinians in Gaza. The bloodshed in Gaza is a result of Trump's controversial decision to shift the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. His unwise decision has not only incited the Palestinians but also peoples across the world. The allegation against UNHRC by the USA is faulty and it is obvious that the decision to depart from the UNHRC is due to the Trump administration's bias towards Israel.
