SEOUL, Aug 12 (AFP): US and North Korean nuclear envoys are expected to meet in China this week, possibly to discuss ways to normalise ties between the countries, a South Korean report said Sunday.
The meeting between US Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill and his North Korean counterpart Kim Kye-Gwan may take place in Beijing either Monday or Tuesday, Yonhap news agency said, quoting diplomatic sources.
Kim and Hill will both be in China ahead of a meeting of the working group tasked to discuss ways to realise North Korea's denuclearisation, it said.
Hill earlier said he expected normalisation talks between Washington and Pyongyang to be held in the last week of August.
