Some may question how voluntary activities to help develop leadership. A few examples will illustrate the case.
When somebody takes part in an eye camp, a blood donation camp or any other social activities, he or she has to plan ways for doing every aspect meticulously. Accordingly, a budget has to be formulated and the sources of funds ascertained. After that, by assigning one or more teams with the responsibility, the implementation of the project gets underway. In this way, the quality of leadership is created in him/her. Thereafter, the power of work management, networking, developing chain of command and the exercise of encouraging others are developed as well, which are considered to be the skills of leadership.
Afterwards, as the person so developed, uses the acquired experiences in the work field, he or she is automatically preferred over others. This is how voluntary activities contribute to the development of leadership in a person. Different kinds of international organizations, such as the Rotary Club, Leo Club, and Red Crescent Society are engaged in developing leadership qualities among their employees by conducting various social welfare, professional and development activities.
