We want a TSC at CU
October 23, 2024 00:00:00
Chittagong University was established 58 years ago. But it has no student-teacher centre (TSC) due to which cultural and co-curricular activities are being hampered. The establishment of a TSC is also essential for fostering a strong relationship between teachers and students, which significantly enhances both the quality of education and the mental development of students. A TSC would provide a vital space for the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and cultural insights, facilitating engagement beyond the traditional classroom setting.
In its absence, both students and faculty miss out on valuable opportunities for collaboration through discussions, workshops, and cultural events, all of which are crucial for nurturing creativity and holistic learning. Over the years, students have demanded construction of a TSC, with previous university administrations, including the former Vice-Chancellor, offering assurance of its establishment. However, the promise has not materialised.
Students hope that the new Vice-Chancellor will address this long-standing issue and prioritise the construction of the TSC on the CU campus.
