I am glad to know that Sri Lankan former test player Chandika Hathurusingha has been appointed as the coach for Bangladesh national cricket team. Chandika Hathurusingha is a right-handed all-rounder and bowled medium fast, played 26 test matches and 35 one-day international crickets. Hathurusingha coached United Arab Emirates, Sri Lankan A team, and Australian domestic teams like South Wales and Sydney Thunder. I am sure the able guidance of the new coach will bring positive change in Bangladesh cricket. Being a coach from the sub-continent, I think it will be easy to mingle with the local players as our culture and tradition is somewhat alike. We have more similarities than differences.
I hope the new coach will get all-out cooperation from the cricket board as well as the players. Bangladesh cricket is passing through a tough time and the morale of players is low to some extent at this point. I am confident that it is only a matter of time before the tigers picked themselves up and showed the world what they are capable of doing. Bangladeshi people have great craze for cricket; that is why we see despite the sporadic successes there is no dearth of enthusiasm, and supporters throng to the stadium during the cricket match of the Tigers. I hope the Tigers will work hard remembering the unconditional love of Bangladeshi people towards them.
