Every year the 'Anti-corruption Day' is observed throughout the world and we are no exception. But sadly, we see an upward trend in the corruption index of our country which is indeed an alarming sign. Surely we lack transparency and good governance and due to lack of which we are suffering heavily and remaining in the top segment of the most corrupt countries' list. Our anti-corruption commission has failed to play the required role in reining in corruption.
I hope, on this anti-corruption day we shall make a pledge that corruption will not be tolerated anymore and we shall root it out from our society so that we can present our next generation a clean and healthy society. Every citizen counts in the fight against corruption and if we become vocal against it and refuse to give in to corruption, it will gradually lose its strength. Social networks like Facebook can play an important role in exposing corrupt people and organisations. Let us fight against corruption and make our society clean.
