The World Cup football reached its final phase, all is set for the titans to play for the quarterfinals. Most of the big names are there except one, Spain. Only eight matches left including a play-off for the third place decider then we will find our new World Cup football champions. The month-long sports extravaganza has stolen the limelight of the world media. France will face Germany in the first quarterfinal, and in the second Brazil compete with Columbia. Argentina will fight Belgium and the last quarterfinal will be played between the Netherlands and Costa Rica.
No sports tournament can get bigger than this. It is amazing when we see the enthusiasm of the common people all around the globe. Everyone will watch out who is going to win, Europe or Latin America? So far no European nation has won the World Cup held in Latin America. Will Europe be able to create a history or the history will repeat itself again this time? We will know on the evening of 13th July when final will take place in Maracana Stadium. As a Brazil supporter I hope that Brazil will keep this trophy in their own country.
