The World Cup football tournament is gradually gaining its momentum with one after another exciting match taking place. People are glued to the TV set as if there is no world beyond that. In daytime people are walking like a zombie as most of them are regularly sleep deprived. Germany trounced their opponent in the much talked-about encounter with Portugal and Muller scored a hat-trick. Germany must thank Portugal defender Pepe as his hot headed attitude caused Portugal out of the match much before it ended. It was really stupid of Pepe whose anger invited a red card and possible three-match suspension.  Portugal was showing their brilliance all through, but a ten-man Portugal was never enough for the shrewd and marauding Germans.
I was disappointed as I had thought I would watch a close match but at the end it was a one-sided affair. Argentina won their first match against Bosnia and Herzegovina; but it was Bosnia and Herzegovina that played a spirited game and gave the two-time world champions a hard time. One thing is sure that this World Cup is going to be a truly memorable one.
