21 DGMs of govt banks, financial institutions promoted to GM

Twenty-one deputy general managers (DGMs) of state-owned banks and financial institutions have been promoted to the post of general manager (GM), according to an office order, issued by the Ministry of Finance on Monday. The order contained postings of the newly-promoted GMs. Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina approved the proposal for the promotion order, submitted by MoF. According to the promotion and posting order, Debashish Chakrabarty of Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation (BHBFC) has been given posting to Rupali Bank Ltd as GM after his promotion from the post of DGM, Mrs Afroza Gulnahar of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) to BHBFC, Abu Saleh MD Musa and Anwar Ali Khan of Bangladesh Krishi Bank(BKB) have been posted with the same Bank as GMs and Mrs Hosna Ara Begum of Rupali Bank has been posted to the same bank as GM after her promotion from the post of DGM. MD Firoz Khan of BKB has been given posting in the same bank as GM, MD Wahiduzzaman Khondker of Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) to Rupali Bank Ltd, Syed Abu Asad and Arifur Rahman of Rupali Bank Ltd have been given postings to the same bank as GMs and Nitai Chand Das of BKB to the same bank as GM, the order mentioned. Kazi Sanaul Hoque of ICB has been posted with RAKUB as GM, MD Jalal Uddin of BKB with the same bank, Gandhi Kumar Roy of Rupali Bank Ltd has been posted with BKB as GM, Abdur Rouf of ICB has been given posting to Karmashanthan Bank as GM and Kafil Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury of ICB to BHBFC as GM, said the order of the ministry. Mrs Moniara Begum of BKB has been posted with Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank as GM, MD Nazmul Hoque of Rupali Bank posted to RAKUB, Kamrul Islam Asad of ICB has been posted with BKB as GM, MD Mojibur Rahman of Rupali Bank Ltd to BKB as GM and SM Shamsul Alam of RAKUB has been posted to the same Bank as GM, the order added.
