BAFEDA trains money market dealers

Bangladesh Foreign Exchange Dealers' Association (BAFEDA) has organised a five-day ACI Dealing Certificate Examination Programme at a city hotel to train foreign exchange and money market dealers, said a press statement. The ACI Dealing Certificate course is conducted by Ms Examready (Pvt) Ltd, an internationally reputed training organisation. The course is a professional course for the foreign exchange and money market dealers. At least 32 inter bank foreign exchange dealers from Bangladesh Bank (BB), state-owned commercial banks, private and foreign banks are participating in the programme. Deputy Governor of BB, Ziaul Hasan Siddiqui, inaugurated the programme as the chief guest recently. Among others, CEO and Managing Director of Sonali Bank Ltd and BAFEDA Vice Chairman Humayurn Kabir Managing Director of NCC Bank Ltd Tresurer of BAFEDA Mohammed Nurul Amin, Managing Director of Pubali Bank Ltd Helal Ahmed Chowdhury and Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Jim McCabe were present at the inaugural session. At the opening ceremony, the speakers underscored the importance of this type of training against the backdrop of the country's growing economy for acquiring up to date professional knowledge about the financial market in the global perspective. The programme will conclude today (Thursday).
