He said for the past eight years electricity production was low. He said the present government is trying its best to increase electricity production as it is a must for making Bangladesh an industrialised country.
The minister stated this Friday at the annual dealers' conference of Eastern Meter and Apple Lightings as the chief guest in the city where FBCCI (Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry) president AK Azad was present as the special guest.
Chairman of Jamuna Meter Industries Limited Selim Ahmed Bhuyan presided over the conference.
Dilip Barua urged the electric meter producers to manufacture export-quality meters with the help of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution so that the country could earn foreign exchange.
