BIBM trains officials in risk management

A five-day training course on 'Risk Management and Capital Adequacy,' conducted by the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM), concluded in the city recently. At least 25 high officials from different banks and financial institutions participated in the course. BIBM designed the course to promote the understanding of bank officials about risks in the banking business and management of those risks by applying advanced techniques. The course also acquainted the participants with the policy guidelines and strategies involved in effective management of risks to develop skills in computing the capital adequacy requirement in line with Basel-II Accord. - Statement
