With the initiative taken by the Association, Bangladesh Bank has agreed to open Bank Accounts with Tk. 10- for small life policy holders and 14 insurance companies were allowed to go for IPO on the basis on the paid up capital at the time of registration of the respective insurance companies and the system of enlistment of insurance companies with banks were withdrawn. He expressed that BIA and IDRA should work together for the development of the insurance industry. AK Azad, Mr. M. Moyeedul Islam, Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, Alhaj Md. Mockbul Hossain, Mr. Nizam Uddin Ahmed, Mr. Tofazzal Hossain, Mr. Touhid Samad, Alhaj Nasiruddin and Syed Al-Faruque also spoke on the occasion.
