BSAA elects office-bearers

CHITTAGONG, June 16: Bangladesh Shipping Agents Association (BSAA) has elected office bearers for the next two years. The members elected 18 directors, who re-elected in a unanimous decision the chairman, senior vice chairman and vice chairman of the body, a press release said.
KM Mahmudur Rahman has been elected chairman, Mostafa Kamal Hayat senior vice chairman and Parvez Ahmed vice chairman of the BSAA for the second time.
The elected directors are Ahsanul Huq Chowdhury, Shahed Sarwar, Md Abdul Momin, Captain Ahmed Shaghid Chowdhury, Rahat Bin Asad, Captain Rafiqul Islam, Syed Mohammed Arif, Saiful Ahmed Chowdhury, ATM Rafique Ahmed, Nilajendra Shankar Guha Roy, Azim Rafiq Chowdhury, Kazi Mobasser Ahmed Hashemi, Kazi Md Nazmul Huda, Md Shafiqul Alam Jewel and AKM Atiqur Rahman.
The election was held recently at BSAA office in the port city with the election board chairman Commodore (retired) AZ Nizam in the chair. Other members of the board are Ataul Karim Chowdhury and Muazzem Hussain Khan.
