Ad Maker Bangladesh, one of the biggest marketing competitions in the country, returns in 2018 for its seventh edition. The premier business club of North South University Young Entrepreneurs Society (NSU YES!) is going to arrange the event this year. Ad Maker Bangladesh is a 360 degree marketing competition which hosts the battle of creative brains from all over the country.This competition is about analysing and identifying puzzles of promotional mix and presenting the creative and most effective solution that will put the products back on track in the market. The competitors put their master plan and skills on the line to win the most prestigious marketing competition of the nation.
The encounter among creative minds began on March 02, 2018 with the inter-university workshop, where more than 300 teams are participating from more than 50 different universities all around the nation. The best teams will progress through the rounds to battle it out in the grand finale on March 21 for the title of 'Ad Maker Bangladesh 2018'.
This year, it offers the largest amount of prize money till date. The champions of the event will receive a prize money of Tk 2,00,000, the first runner-up and the second runner-up will receive prize money of Tk 1,20,000 and Tk 80,000 respectively.
The recent workshop on March 02 was conducted by Ayman Sadiq, founder and CEO of 10 Minute School and Muhammad Risalat Siddique, former senior brand manager at Unilever and currently leading a digital agency in the country--Analyzen Bangladesh Limited. The speakers conducted the workshop with great passion for the aspiring undergraduates, who came all the way to the campus of North South University to manifest the true blue creative fighters that rest within themselves. The large auditorium was jam-packed with enthusiastic participants, who enhanced the entire workshop with their warmth and excitement.
Ayman Sadiq spoke in the first half of the workshop, where he upskilled the participants with business competition hacks to ace every presentation and case round. He shared his real-life stories, explained the power of story-telling and defined how it will change the mindset of the judges and viewers, if done properly. He further spoke in details about the tactics that require great attention but are often overlooked by the participants.
The second session was conducted by Muhammad Risalat Siddique, who focused more on the marketing sector of the competition by speaking from his many years of experience in the business world as a brand manager. He extracted the bookish knowledge and explained it in the most variant way possible. His session was interactive as the challenging participants had the opportunity to share their opinions and comments during his workshop. He demonstrated some inventive ads and disclosed the strategies behind them. The aspiring undergraduates learnt about the viewpoint of an actual marketer from the entire session.
The workshop concluded with the students returning home with inducement to win this title as Abu Saad Shezanul Huq, the faculty advisor of YES!, energised them by saying, "May the best team win". Following the workshop of the first round, the online case round was held on March 04.
