Executive board members, organisers annd delegates of League of Regime Diplomacy Model United Nations (LORDMUN) II

The House of Youth Dialogue (HYD), a non-profit youth organisation based in Dhaka, organised second session of League of Regime Diplomacy Model United Nations (LORDMUN) conference at Independent University, Bangladesh from January 11 to 14, 2017. LORDMUN is the only Model United Nations conference in the whole Asian region based on fiction stories. It is especially designed for the fiction lover community.
The main goal of House of Youth Dialogue is to promote the idea of leadership among the young generation of the society who usually stay busy watching TV series and cartoons. So, HYD comes up with an innovative idea that can make an youth play an active role as a hero. It is a youth platform that contributes to improve, enhance and redevelop skills, confidence, thinking capability, leadership, diplomacy and knowledge through the concerted participation of young minds from across the city. ‘LORDMUN II: Fictional Conclave’ aimed to engage the large population by bringing the future generation together from around the country under one roof, regardless of the religion, school and social background. For the four days, 230 delegates allocated in six different committees were given the opportunity to let their voice be prominent and effective for the construction of a better generation.
The groundbreaking initiative of ‘LORDMUN II: Fictional Conclave’ unleashed the potential to reframe the Bangladeshi policy with novel approaches.
Chief guest Dr. Md. Enamur Rahman, Member of Parliament of Gazipur district said, ‘Leadership remains hidden in every human being, but only the leaders can bring it to serve the nation. Model United Nations inspires the youngsters and carving the road to diplomacy, leadership and the development of the nation.’ With the seminar hall completely full, LORDMUN Season-2, the only fictional conclave based MUN in Asia aimed to awaken the ambitions and avidity of these young minds to restore global peace and go ahead to a resolution for a better future.
