DBBL donates Tk 10m for Mainamoti Hospital

Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) has donated an amount of Tk 10 million to the Chairman of Governing Body of Mainamoti Cantonment General Hospital, Comilla to expand the existing clinic with operation theater and indoor facilities.
It includes 50 beds with the objective to address and serve the basic medical needs of the people residing in and around the cantonment.
Major General Sheikh Md Monirul Islam, ndc, psc, area commander of Comilla Area and GOC 33 Infantry Division, and M Shahabuddin Ahmed, chairman of Dutch-Bangla Bank Foundation, unveiled the plaque of the hospital Saturday in presence of a large gathering of senior military officers, dignitaries and local community representatives.
Major General Sheikh Md Monirul Islam in his oration appreciated DBBL's humanitarian and welfare activities and termed this donation as a unique example in fulfilling the medical needs thereby glorifying the noble venture to help the marginalised population.
He thanked the board of directors and management of DBBL for their excellent contribution in social cause.
Sayem Ahmed, chairman of EC of the board of DBBL, was also present at the function and delivered his speech.
Mr Ahmed lauded the role of the governing body for undertaking a noble venture to provide medical facilities to the community in and around the cantonment area and thanked for approaching DBBL in partnering with the project expansion programme.
