DCCI to send business delegation to Myanmar

A six member delegation from Myanmar led by the Chairman of Myanmar Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Entrepreneurs' Association Dr Win Si Thu called on President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) Asif Ibrahim at DCCI Thursday to discuss bilateral trade issues and interest, said a press statement. DCCI past President Hossain Khaled was also present at that time. DCCI President stressed on establishing direct air and land and water route between these two friendly countries. He called upon the Myanmar businessmen to import Pharmaceuticals, leather products, chemical items, ready-made garments, ceramics, jute and jute goods from Bangladesh. To increase and for development of bilateral trade between Bangladesh and Myanmar cooperation between government and private sector is important, he said. He also expressed his intention to send a business delegation from DCCI to Myanmar so that B2B and P2P relation of these countries could be strengthened more. Chairman of Myanmar Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Entrepreneurs' Association Dr. Win Si Thu called upon the Bangladeshi private airlines to come forward to establish direct air flight between Bangladesh and Myanmar. He stressed on signing MoU and building chamber to chamber relation of both the countries. He also invited Bangladeshi investors to invest in Myanmar in joint venture initiative. To showcase Bangladeshi products, he invited business entrepreneurs of Bangladesh to participate at different Fairs in Myanmar. DCCI Senior Vice President TIM Nurul Kabir, Vice President Nasir Hossain, Directors Engr Syed Mosharraf Hossain, Hossain A Sikder, M Bashir Ullah Bhuiyan, Waqar Ahmad Choudhury, Osman Gani, KMN Manjurul Hoque, Al-haj Md Nasiruddin Khan, M Anwarul Haque, KG Karim, Absar Karim Chowdhury, M Abu Horaira, and acting Secretary Ferdaus Ara Begum were present and took part in the discussion.
