Infosys China plans to triple staff

Infosys Technologies China Co. plans to triple its staff in China to 10,000 over the next three years as part of its expansion aimed at securing a larger share in China's outsourcing technology services sector. The company, a unit of Infosys Technologies Ltd. - India's second-largest software exporter by sales -, plans to invest $135 million in Shanghai in the next few years and secure a 15-acre site in the city's Minhang district to build a new office capable of housing more than 7,000 employees, Infosys China Chief Executive Rangarajan Vellamore said in a recent interview. -WSJ
