Interactive Cares, a Dhaka-based startup dedicated to educational technology, recently secured a significant boost for its innovative endeavours. The company has been awarded a generous grant of US $100,000 from the esteemed Open Campus Accelerator, marking a milestone achievement in its journey.
Participating in cohort four of the competitive accelerator programme, Interactive Cares stood out among a pool of promising startups. This non-dilutive funding will serve as a catalyst for the company to advance its initiatives in artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology related programmes. These cutting-edge solutions are aimed at enhancing employability training and career advancement opportunities.
Open Campus Accelerator is renowned for its comprehensive support system tailored for edtech startups. Over a span of six weeks, participants receive invaluable mentorship, access to resources, and opportunities for networking. The programme delves deep into the transformative technologies shaping the landscape of education and employment.
Through expert-led workshops and guidance from industry mentors, startups like Interactive Cares refine their strategies for growth and innovation. Emphasis is placed on adapting to emerging trends such as the metaverse and decentralised finance (DeFi), ensuring that participants stay ahead of the curve.
A pivotal moment for startups in the programme arrives with the much-anticipated demo day, where they showcase their endeavours to potential investors and partners. This platform opens doors to additional funding and collaborations, propelling the growth trajectory of these budding ventures.
Interactive Cares, established in 2020, has swiftly emerged as a key player in Bangladesh's edtech scene. With a diverse range of online courses spanning web development, digital marketing, and test preparation, the company caters to the evolving needs of learners. Notably, its strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders facilitate seamless transitions into the workforce for students.
Beyond conventional offerings, Interactive Cares is at the forefront of harnessing AI and blockchain for educational innovation. By exploring distributed ledgers for credentialing and AI-driven personalisation of educational content, the company is paving the way for a more accessible and tailored learning experience.
Rare Al Samir, co-founder and CEO of Interactive Cares, expressed gratitude for the support received from Open Campus Accelerator. "We are honoured to be selected for the OC accelerator and receive this US$ 100,000 grant," he remarked. "It provides crucial investment, mentorship, and global connections as we work to realise our vision of using AI and blockchain to create accredited, verifiable, and personalised workforce development solutions and programs," he added.
With over 300,000 registered learners on its platform and a total fund raised of US$ 700,000 from notable investors such as Accelerating Asia, Flagship Ventures, SuperCharger Ventures, and others, Interactive Cares is poised to scale new heights in its mission to revolutionise education and empower learners for the future.
