Int'l technology fair begins in city tomorrow

The 3rd International Engineering Equipment and Technology Fair and 2nd International Solar Products Fair would be held jointly from April 5 to April 8, 2012 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
Leaders of Bangladesh Engineering Industries Owners Association (BEIOA), Light Engineering Business Promotion Council and representatives of local solar panel company have announced the fair schedule at a press conference at the Dhaka Reporters Unity Tuesday.
BEIOA president, Abdur Razzak said, "Such kind of international technology fair would help transfer of technology among stakeholders in international arena."
Director of ASK Trade and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, Nannu Gopal has expressed his hope that new innovation on light engineering would be exhibited in the show.
Managing Director of Hydron Bangladesh Ltd, Mostafa Muhammad told that solar panel system has been getting popularity due to short supply of electricity across the country."
"A good number of local and international producers and traders of solar panel system are going to take part in the exhibition," he informed.
According to the organisers, some 150 organisations from Bangladesh, India and China would participate in the fair.
Commerce secretary Gulumn Hossain will inaugurate the show, organisers said.
A good number of prospective participants both from home and abroad were present at the press conference.
