Japanese co to invest $8m in Ishwardi EPZ

Roulin (BD) Limited, a Japanese company, will establish a garment industry in the Ishwardi Export Processing Zone with an investment of US$8 million, said a press statement. In this connection, General Manager (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA AZM Azizur Rahman and Chairman of Roulin (BD) Limited Yoshitaka Wakabayashi exchanging documents after signing an agreement on behalf of their respective companies in the city Sunday. Under the deal a garment manufacturing industry will be established in Ishwardi EPZ with an investment of US$ 8 Million. Other high officials of the companies were present on the occasion. The company will also create employment opportunity for 1,384 Bangladeshi nationals. Executive Chairman of BEPZA Maj Gen ATM Shahidul Islam, Member (Engineering) Abu Reza Khan, Secretary Md Shawkat Nabi and other officials were present on the occasion. - Statement
