Korean co to invest $7.55m in Ishwardi EPZ

Ms A & A Traveling Bangladesh Limited, a Korean company, will set up a bag manufacturing industry in the Ishwardi Export Processing Zone (EPZ) involving about US$7.55 million. In this connection, an agreement was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Ms A & A Traveling Bangladesh in the city Wednesday, said a press release. General Manager (Investment Promotion) of the BEPZA AZM Azizur Rahman and Chairman of Ms A & A Traveling Bangladesh Won Chun Cho signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. The fully foreign owned company will manufacture bag items at its unit and will create employment opportunity for 1338 Bangladeshi nationals. Among others, Executive Chairman of the Major General ATM Shahidul Islam, Secretary Md Shawkat Nabi and General Manager (Public Relations) Mahmud Hasan were present at the deal signing ceremony.
