Land allotment for CITF sought

Principal secretary to the Prime Minister Abdul Karim has asked Chittagong business leaders to find a khas land to build a permanent venue for the Chittagong International Trade Fair (CITF). He asked the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry to find a piece of government khas land or a land from the Railway or the Port Authority for the purpose.
He asked the chamber leaders to send a proposal for the permanent venue of the fair identifying the land for allotment. He said this while visiting the CITF at the Polo Ground in the city on Friday night. CCCI president Moshed Murad Ibrahim, senior vice president Mahbubul Alam and vice president Nurun Newaz Selim were with him at the time. The principal secretary also visited the 3-day long Agri Business Fair organised by the Department of Agriculture at the MA Aziz Stadium Gymnasium on Friday night.
