Laptop fair draws huge visitors on second day

The first laptop fair of the year drew a large number of visitors on the second day of the three-day long fair on Friday at the city`s Pan Pacific Saonargaon Hotel.
Tech savvy people, mainly students of different educational institutes, are showing interest about the products of advanced technology in the fair organised by Maker Communication.
Visitors said such kind of fair is helpful for the people to know about new technology and its use and even they can choose products from huge varieties of global brand.
Kazi Habib, a student of Dhaka University, who visited the fair said he was interested to buy a laptop from the fair, but he was in confusion as to which brand he would choose.
Another student of the university said he normally visits all the laptop fairs to know the latest products.
Coordinator of the fair Fabian Khan said normally, visitors collect information on the first day of the fair and then they take decision on buying products.
Mr Khan said the trend of selling different products was good on Friday and hoped it will rise today (Saturday).
Some companies are offering special discounts on renowned brands like ASUS, Toshiba, HP, Samsung, Dell, Fujitsu, Prolink, Apple, Acer, MSI, Compaq, Gigabyte and other laptop brands.
This year, the fair has 12 pavilions and 60 stalls comprising Qubee, HP, Samsung, Computer Source, Smart Technologies, Global Brand, Computer Village, Executive Technologies, Excel Technologies and RM systems and many others.
Qubee is the title sponsor of the fair and the co sponsors are Acer, ASUS, HP & Samsung.
The fair began on Thursday and will end today (Saturday).
