Learners brainstorm on business issues

TrailBlazer, the signature event of Bangladesh Agricultural University Career Club (BAUCC,) happens to be the biggest business battle among the students of BAU, funded by the Dutch project 'Development of an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem at BAU.' This programme is bringing the highly potential entrepreneurs within the campus to light since the day it was introduced by BAUCC in 2018. Following the tradition of previous years, TrailBlazer 3.0 started on January 05 with business case battle, and continued till February 27, concluding with the finals and ending ceremony on the same day. The event was held online, apart from the final that took place on campus.

The final day programme was inaugurated by Vice-chancellor of BAU Prof Lutful Hassan, who was the chief guest. Professor AKM Zakir Hossain, advisor of student affairs of BAU, Professor Md Abu Hadi Nur Ali Khan, director of BAURES, and Professor Dr Mohammad Mahir Uddin, the recently appointed proctor of BAU, were present at the event as special guests. The programme was led by Dr Md Hamidul Islam, president of BAUCC.

The intriguing final battle among top five teams was judged by Mohammad Saidur Rahman, Sumana Saha and Surajit Sarkar (Duronto) who are experts in their fields. Based on skills and potential, three teams-- The Food Puzzle, The Aestheticos, and Team Imposter were declared the champion, first and second runner-up respectively. They earned 1,000 euros as prize money and an incentive for their idea implementation.

The programme had big names associated with it, including BYLC, YSSE and EMK as strategic partners, BYLCx and Bohubrihi as e-learning partners, The Daily Star, The Financial Express and Roar Bangla as media partners, Safe Foods as food partner, Learning Bangladesh as youth engaging partner, Youth Opportunity as outreach partner, Dhaka FM as radio partner and Women Cycling Club-BAU and BAULC as club partners.
