Notre Dame Eco and Space Club to host 7th National Earth and Space Summit

The Notre Dame Eco and Space Club is set to host the highly anticipated 7th National Earth and Space Summit starting from May 16 up to May 18. This festival, aimed at igniting young minds in astronomy and ecology, promises to provide a platform for passionate pupils from across the country.
Speaking about the event, Moderator of the Notre Dame Eco and Space Club, Md Nazmul Hassan, shares his enthusiasm, "We're thrilled to bring together students from across the country to delve into the wonders of astronomy and ecology. This summit is a testament to our commitment to fostering curiosity and exploration."
With over 100 institutes confirming their participation, the event is gearing up to be a vibrant convergence of students interested in astronomy and earth science. The summit will feature a plethora of engaging events focusing on ecology, earth science, and astronomy, spanning both online and offline platforms.
Among the notable events are quizzes, debates, and olympiads in the fields of earth science, astronomy, and the environment. However, what truly sets this festival apart are the special events curated by the Notre Dame Eco and Space Club.
One such event is the Astral Hunt, a refined version of a treasure hunt with astronomical clues scattered across the sprawling five-acre campus of Notre Dame College. Designed exclusively for outer students, this promises to be an exhilarating challenge.
Another unique segment is the Astro & Eco Ideation, where participants will play the dual role of examiner and examinee, judged on the creativity, relevance, and accuracy of their questions and answers.
Highlighting the uniqueness of the summit's offerings, an organiser Irfan Sarwar Pranjol remarks, "Our goal is to challenge participants and inspire them to think outside the box. From the Astral Hunt to the Astro & Eco Ideation, each segment is designed to spark creativity and critical thinking."
Partnered with organisations such as the National Earth Science Olympiad (NEO) and the Bangladesh Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics, the summit promises to provide participants with a stimulating olympiad experience.
Dhrubo Hridraz, the general secretary of the club, eagerly anticipates the upcoming event, stating, "This year's festival introduces a fresh paradigm for us. Our central theme, focused on utilising insights derived from careful observation of nature, will be fully embodied in all aspects of the festivities."
Dr Fr Hemanto Pius Rozario, principal of NDC, expressed delight in hosting such an event on the campus of Notre Dame College.
As the 7th National Earth and Space Summit approaches, excitement builds among students and enthusiasts. With the support of current and former students, experts, and notable figures, this event is set to inspire and educate young minds in astronomy and ecology. The vibrant campus of Notre Dame College awaits participants from all backgrounds, promising a weekend of captivating activities and shared experiences.
