Offering continued to be fairly heavy and this met with less demand from all sections.
Plain poor teas were virtually neglected and there were heavy withdrawals in this category Blenders were quite active whilst Loose ten buyers were again selective.
Dusts were again a lower market with fair withdrawals.
CTC LEAF: 34,221 packages and 1112 packages of old season on offer met with less demand at lower rates with fair withdrawals.
BROKENS: All good liquoring Brokens met with a fair demand but prices declined by Tk 6 to Tk 8. Select few lines were well competed for where the decline was not as sharp and these realized prices between Tk 160 and Tk 164 medium Brokens initially met with some demand which weakened as the sale progressed and there wre fair withdrawals. Similarly plain poorer types suffered fairly heavy withdrawals.
FANINGS; Good liquoring Farmings again met a fair demand at easier rates often by Tk 6 to Tk 8 and these sold between Tk 154 and Tk 157. A few best liquoring types realised prices between Tk 160 and Tk 163.
CTC DUST: 6,549 packages and 19 packages of old Season on offer continued to meet with a fair demand at again lower rates with far withdrawals. Good liquoring varieties cased by Tk 5 to Tk 7 whilst others eased future with some withdrawals. CDs met with a limited enquiry and there were heavy withdrawals. Select few lines of good liquoring RDsDs were, however, a dearer market following strong competition.
Blenders and Loose tea buyers lent a fair support.
