Winning team receiving prize money from guests and judges Bangladesh University of Professionals Economics Club (BUPEC) has once again, successfully organised one of its signature events - MGI presents POMAC 4.0 sponsored by City Bank, IDLC Finance Limited, Femina Flaunt and Sandra Foods Intl. Limited.
The grand finale of the event took place recently. Professor Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain, pro vice-chancellor of Bangladesh University of Professionals, and Brigadier General Mohammad Shamsul Arefin, dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of the university, attended the event as the guests of honour.
About 12 teams ventured into the cutting edge of the second round, where they delved deeper into their presentations, exploring the feasibility and persuasive power of their proposed solutions. Finally, the top six teams advanced to the grand finale.
The champion team, CELL NO 12, won Tk 100,000 for their outstanding performance, while the first and second runners-up, Teams Quadrant and Gourgeoisie, received Tk 60,000 and Tk 40,000, respectively.
The judging panel for the grand finale featured Dr Monzur Hossain, research director at the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS), Dr Khondaker Golam Moazzem, research director at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) and Dr Sakib Bin Amin, associate professor of the Department of Economics, North South University (NSU).
