Prime Bank moves to orient students with modern banking

Prime Bank Limited organised a seminar on "Standard Banking Practices" and a day- long Products and Awards Exhibition in the city Saturday marking the celebration of its 16th anniversary. Chairman of the bank Azam J Chowdhury inaugurated the programme as the chief guest and managing director M. Ehsanul Haque delivered the speech of welcome. Azam J Chowdhury said this day-long programme would help introduce young generation of the country to the modern banking practices. This seminar will develop a triangular relationship among the students, teachers and banking professionals. He also said students coming from different universities will come to know about corporate banking, foreign remittance, retail banking, SME banking and economic condition of the country. The seminar is first of its kind in Bangladesh, organised for the university students to facilitate them with the knowledge of current banking activities simultaneously with the conventional banking system. Elaborate discussions were arranged on corporate banking, branch banking and SME and retail banking in three different sessions. Additional managing director Md. Mehmood Husain, deputy managing directors- Md. Reazul Karim and Isbahul Bar Chowdhury, and SEVP and Head of HR and Marketing divisions Md. Tabarak Hossain Bhuiyan discussed the topics in the seminar. A good number of students and teachers from IBA, Marketing, Finance, Management, Banking, Accounting and Economics faculties of Dhaka University and business faculties of East West, North South, BRAC, Jahangir Nagar and Jagannath universities participated the seminar.
