Samsung launches smart REX series mobile handsets

FE Report Samsung Electronics Bangladesh launched on Saturday REX series mobile handsets equipped with smart applications and touch facility. The series consist of three models- REX 60, REX 70, REX 80- will provide better facilities to the cost conscious mobile phone users, said organisers at a product launching programme in the city. The handsets have the facility of Dual SIM and preloaded full games, they mentioned. Price of REX 60 has been fixed at Tk 6,900, the REX 70 at Tk 7,300 and the REX 80 at Tk 8,900. Organizers mentioned that REX 70 will be available in the local market from April this year. Managing Director of Samsung Electronics Bangladesh Branch Office Choon Soo Moon unveiled the products of the programme. He said REX series leaves the ordinary feature phones far behind and will help audience 'Start Smart.' "The world is getting smarter. It is high time that smart features reach out to people looking forward to lead a smarter life at an affordable budget," said Mr Moon. General Manager Sanghwa Song and Product Marketing Manager Masudul Haque Bhuiyan described the details of the products in the programme. The common features of the series includes: 1000 mAH battery with power saving technology, BT 3.0, Auto Sync option, Advanced Opera Mini, FM, MP3, MP4, 3.5 mm jack. In REX 60 and 80, MicroSD is upto 16 GB, in REX 70 - this is expandable upto 32GB. REX 80 is additionally featured with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n.
