SEBL workshop on Negotiable Instruments Act

A workshop on "An Overview on Negotiable Instrument Act with Particular Reference to Payment of Cheques" organised by Southeast Bank Limited (SEBL) was held at the bank's training institute in the city recently, said a press release. Syed Imtiaz Hasib, Deputy Managing Director of the bank inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest. Meah Mohd. Kausar Alam, Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, made the key note presentation covering the topic. Executive Vice President of SEBL Mustafizur Rahman also spoke at the workshop. The heads of branches of the bank also participated in the discussion and shared experiences. Mr Imtiaz Hasib stressed the need for proper understanding and application of knowledge on banking law and practice by the bank officials in discharging their duties for efficient handling of clientele problems.
