Software fair on education held in city

FE Report Software-based association-BASIS- has taken initiative to make people acquainted with software technology in different sectors for bringing dynamism in the areas, said its president Mahboob Zaman. He told the FE Sunday that the organisation would hold one-day software technology fair every month so that people could know the automation system in their institutions and its proper use. According to the plan, Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) Sunday organised a day-long software fair on education at its office. State Minister for Science and Information & Communication Technology Yeafesh Osman inaugurated the fair where different softwares for schools and colleges were exhibited. The minister expressed the hope that software would be helpful for the educational institutions of the country to keep pace with the developed countries' institutions. The BASIS president said the fair will be held also on Real State, Bank, Human Resource Management and Accounts Inventory Management in the coming months. Acting Secretary of the science ministry Rafiqul Islam was also present in the exposition.
