Sonali Investment gets new chairman

Md Lutfar Rahman Khan, a director of Sonali Bank Limited, has been elected new chairman of Sonali Investment Limited, a subsidiary company of the bank, said a press statement. He was also a director of Janata Bank from 1996 to 2001. Former president of Madaripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr Khan was also director of FBCCI for three times. He was a co convener of Standing Committee on Banking and Standing committee on Export import of FBCCI. He was also Commercially Important Person (CIP) by the Bangladesh government for consecutive three years from 1988 1990. Mr Khan was born in 1940 under Shibchar Upazila in Madaripur. He obtained MA degree from Dhaka University in 1965, the release added. - Statement
