PK Medappa, group head of Human Resources for Consumer Banking of Standard Chartered Bank, arrives in Dhaka for a three-day official visit. He will meet various stakeholders of the bank during his visit. PK's key focus is to provide advice to the consumer banking senior management on employee engagement, organisation structuring, human capital deployment and other process interventions. He is also responsible for the management of HR processes which help drive business performance. PK joined the bank in 1991 and was appointed as the group head of Human Resources for Consumer Banking in July 2008. Prior to this role, PK was the group head of Human Resources for Wholesale Bank where he was a key member of the management team instrumental in building the WB business between 2004 and 2008. PK holds a master degree in Personnel Management and Human Resources and a bachelor's in Economics.
