State Bank of India to open branch at Rajshahi

A three-member delegation of the State Bank of India called on Mayor of the Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton at the latter's office here today. During the meeting, the team apprised the mayor that a new branch of the bank would soon be opened at Rajshahi and also sought his cooperation in this connection. Mayor Liton requested the bank authority to look after the city's civic services side-by-side with the banking services. On resumption of the banking services, he expected that bilateral trade relations would be enhanced between the two countries. Country Head of the bank Devabrata Dutta led the delegation. First Assistant Vice President RM Chakraverty and Rajshahi Branch Head Mahbubur Rahman accompanied Mr Dutta on the occasion. - BSS
