Tata Motors global sales up 35pc in Nov

NEW DELHI, Dec 15 (Business Standard): Tata Motors Thursday said its global sales increased 35 per cent in November to 1,08,028 units over the same period last year.
Sales of luxury brands from Jaguar Land Rover were at 29,183 units during November, up 27 per cent from the same month last year, Tata Motors said in a statement.
Prices of Jaguar brand decreased by 5 per cent last month at 5,315 units, Land Rover sales were higher by 38 per cent at 23,868 units, it added.
The company said total passenger vehicles sales stood at 58,304 units in November 2011, a jump of 47 per cent from the same month last year.
Commercial vehicles sales were up by 24 per cent to 49,724 units from the same month last year, it added.
The Tata Motors Group's global sales comprises Tata, Tata Daewoo and Hispano Carrocera range of commercial vehicles, Tata passenger vehicles, along with the distributed brands in India, Jaguar and Land Rover.
