Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) has successfully concluded its three-day long event 'Chakri.com Presents BUP Career and Education Fest 2016'. The event took place on October 23, 24 and 29, 2016.

The fest provided a complete package of guidelines for graduating students to take a head-start to their life after graduation. This event is one of the many initiatives taken by the students of BUP that reflects how actively progressive they are in this contemporary era. It is an initiative that has helped BUP to come such a long way in such a short span of time.

A career fair was arranged on the first day of the event, inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of BUP Major General Md. Salahuddin Miaji. Around nineteen companies set stalls in the university campus where the students could directly communicate with the company representatives with their queries and submit their CVs to the company they felt suited. The day ended with a very informative and entertaining workshop by the very popular veteran corporate turned comedian and leadership trainer Naveed Mahbub.

On the second day there was focus on education opportunities available abroad for the students of the university. A number of reputed study-abroad agencies discussed about foreign education policies and how to avail them. The later part of the day included a very educational corporate-grooming session which was taken by the Chief Operating Officer of Prothom Alo Ahteram Uddin. He enlightened and encouraged the students to take up digital marketing as a serious profession.

On the concluding day, a total of 324 candidates were called for interviews from the CVs that were submitted with the companies on the first day. Executives of the participating companies took interviews of the selected candidates in the campus.

BUP Career Club takes pride in being the first at arranging such on-campus interview sessions in the country. The President of the club Asif Ahmed Tonmoy opined, "We believe this initiative will make us experienced about corporate articulations  and help us expand our potentials and exceed our capabilities." The overwhelming response of both the students and the guests marked the event a successful one.
