Virtual summit to develop youth leadership

Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) is hosting a four-day-long Youth Leadership Summit from August 04 to 07, 2021.

The virtual summit, supported by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) of the UK Government, is bringing together over 300 youths competitively selected from all over Bangladesh.

Participants of the summit can network, learn, and practice adaptive leadership and 21st-century life skills, and design initiatives. These will help create an inclusive Bangladesh in terms of equal rights and access to healthcare, education, skills development, and working with peers.

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen attended the opening ceremony of the summit on August 04 as the chief guest.

Dr Gowher Rizvi, international affairs adviser to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, chaired the opening ceremony. Special guests included Ambassador Alexandra Berg von Linde, Embassy of Sweden, Dhaka, Milan Pavlovic, acting mission director and resident legal officer, USAID Bangladesh, and KM Tariqul Islam, director general, NGO Affairs Bureau, The Prime Minister's Office.

The summit consists of plenaries and workshops featuring industry experts and policymakers.
