Workshop on developing communication skill at BUP

Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a global non-profit organisation that believes in living, communicating, taking actions and creating impact on communities. During last weekend JCI Dhaka West, a chapter of JCI Bangladesh facilitated a two-day workshop at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) in association with BUP Communication Club called "EXPEDITE-Leading Self through Communication."

The workshop facilitated the enthusiastic and talented students from BUP to hear firsthand from young professional icons like Humaira Afreen who is the Local President of JCI Dhaka West and HR Business Partner of British American Tobacco, Rishad Sharif who is Executive Vice President, JCI Dhaka West and Planning Manager of GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh and Mabroor Wassey, Vice President of JCI Dhaka West and Direct Sourcing Manager of British American Tobacco. On the first day, the keynote speakers shared their insights on successful communication based on their personal experiences. On the next day, there was an assessment session where the students encountered mock interview sessions. At the end of the workshop, the participating students were provided certificates from JCI Dhaka West symbolising their expertise on the topic. The keynote speakers loved the spirit and spontaneity of the participants.

Every participant came across an assessment session on the second day where they reflected their learning from the previous sessions. The reflection exercise influenced them to make the learning everlasting. The event was very well received by the participants. Sultan Ul Arefin, a participant of the workshop expressed, "The learning  from the workshop will go with me a long way." At the closing ceremony, the team of BUPCC conveyed their cordial thanks to JCI Dhaka West and aspired to have them again at BUP.
