Youths engage in ad making contest

Ad Maker Bangladesh is back for the seventh time organised by the Young Entrepreneurs Society of North South University (NSU YES!). Ad Maker Bangladesh is a 360° marketing competition, which assembles all the creative, brilliant minds from all over Bangladesh. The purpose is to use the amateur minds of these talented youths to conduct a full-fledged marketing campaign that comprises of analysing, puzzle-solving, branding, promoting and so on.

This year's competition comprises four stimulating rounds, where more than 300 spirited teams from 50 different universities have enrolled to fight and snatch the championship title of Ad Maker Bangladesh 2018. At the end of the first round, which was an online case solving stage, 84 teams qualified for the second round. At this point, the competition took a challenging turn by keeping its words- it got creative and the fight just began. The 84 teams were made to go through a 360° marketing experience where they had to face real life marketing situations. The first phase of the second round was also an online round which was held on March 09. However, in the second phase of that very round, on the following day of March 10, the teams had to present their ideas and the advertisements they made in front of the panel of judges to make it through to the next round.

After skimming through all the cases and advertisements, the judges decided to allow 26 teams to move onward to the third round. The stature of ideas and strategies given in the rounds had been a total surprise and it only makes the competition worth fighting for. The third round will take place today (March 15). The 26 teams will continue to compete in the third round. Only one team will be entitled with championship honour of Ad Maker Bangladesh 2018 from the finale to be held on March 21 at North South University campus.
