China to upgrade processing trade

BEIJING, Sept 3 (Asia Pulse) Chinese ministry of commerce is drafting a guiding document on the upgrade and transformation of processing trade in China in cooperation with the general administration of customs, the ministry of finance and the national development and reform commission (NDRC). brThe drafting of the document will probably come into existence by the end of this year, said an official from the ministry of commerce. brEfforts are being made to upgrade industry and product pattern of processing trade, prompt processing trade to move up industrial chains and optimise regional layout with orderly industrial transfer. brZhang Yansheng, director of the international economic research institute under NDRC called on indigenous enterprises to conduct processing trade so as to transform national economy.
