Foreign-funded firms in Beijing asked to pay land use tax

BEIJING, June 21 (CEIS): Beijing Municipal Government has revised the Implementation Rules on Provisional Rules on Urban Land Use Tax of the People's Republic of China, which has put foreign-funded enterprises into the scope of paying land use tax in accordance with the revised.
According to the revised policy on land use tax, Beijing has divided the land use tax into six grades. Tax amount on first-grade land is 30 yuan per square metre; that on second-grad land is 24 yuan; third grade, 18 yuan; fourth grade, 12 yuan; fifth grade, three yuan, and six grade, 1.5 yuan.
The tax amount on land used by Beijing's enterprises and individuals for operation purpose will be two times higher of the set standard.
They enjoy ten years of exemption of the tax as start from the month of use.
Energy, transportation and water conservancy facilities are also exempted of land use tax according to relevant regulations issued by the ministry of finance.
