Indonesian economy grows faster in Q3

JAKARTA, Nov 17 (Xinhua): The Indonesian economy increased more rapidly than expected in the third quarter by 6.5 per cent over the same period of last year on continued strong exports and consumer spending, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported here.
Compared to the second quarter, the economy expanded by 3.9 per cent to 2,901.3 trillion rupiah (322 billion US dollars), with a particular pick-up in fixed investment during the three months to September, the Jakarta Post said here today.
