Medvedev blames US for economic turmoil

MOSCOW, Nov 4 (PTI): Blaming the US for the ongoing financial crisis, Russia has said the global meltdown that erupted in America has spread to the entire world, forcing nations to "look for answers".
"It is a crisis that started in one of the biggest countries, the United States of America, and which unfortunately spread across the planet, forcing almost every country to look for answers to it", Russian President Medvedev said in his video blog posted on the Kremlin website.
The video blog is the excerpt of his maiden speech to be delivered at the joint session of the two houses, on coming Wednesday.
Medvedev's remark comes ahead of Group of Twenty (G20) emergency meeting scheduled to be held in Washington on November 15, where heads of states would discuss ways to overcome the economic crisis.
